Heron or Crane?Is the menacing bird you see outside your window a great blue heron or a sandhill crane? With length, wingspan, and general body shape being similar, it may be hard for you to decipher between the two species. A great way to tell what kind of bird is lurking in your backyard is to see them in flight.
